Grey Synchronised Service (G2) will handle the creative duties for media campaigns targeted at Indians in the US and Interactive Avenues will manage the online creative and media buying function for classifieds and yellow pages in India.

G2 is Grey Global Group’s activation and multi-channel communications agency specialising in marketing services in direct marketing, branding and design, interactive, promotional and trade and shopper marketing. G2 has a strong hold in the US market.

The incumbent online agency for Sulekha.com was Mediaturf. The size of the online business is in the region of Rs 15 crore. The offline advertising duties for the company continue to lie with JWT in the US and India.

Commenting on the development, B Sridhar, director, global brand and marketing, Sulekha.com, says, “India and the US have two very distinct consumer characteristics and marketing strategies. G2 is more specialised in the US, while Interactive Avenues understands consumers here in India. G2 will promote our social media offerings such as various social networking forums to NRIs in US. And Interactive Avenues will focus more on promoting local commerce, including classifieds and yellow pages.”

Sulekha.com promotes social interaction and local transactions among Indians in 25 cities worldwide. The company is aiming to build a nationwide brand that stands for a consolidated integration of local commerce and social media on the online and mobile platforms.
