    • Location: Mumbai

    Group Head, typically works with Copy/Content/Code partners. Group Head manages and direct the work of production design staff, external creative resources such as illustrators, photographers, and video/multimedia providers.

    Group head will work alongside the ACD/Creative Director to develop design concepts and directions for all marketing materials, campaigns and multiple projects. This will require them to make conceptual and stylistic decisions. Creating layouts, mock-ups and prototypes to illustrate their design idea to other members of the team or management. They would also be required to ideate with the Art Copy team to come up with ideas and present it to the clients. This role will oversee multiple design projects with their teams. This will include allocating accounts to their teams, creating timelines, overseeing design direction, ensuring all deadlines are met, confirming clients are satisfied with the results and troubleshooting any issues that may arise during the duration of the project. They would be responsible for delivery of the project end to end.

    Core Accountability – 

    • Establishes visual tone, character, and messages that will effectively communicate with the target audience and fulfil the project objectives.
    • Responsible for the proper placement, context and meaning of every image and graphic element within a creative assignment.
    • Mentors team designers by providing inspiring direction for both projects and long-term professional growth.
    • Assists the ACD and peers in vendor sourcing and management. Assist ACD to define and assembles all necessary content assets with the creative staff.
    • Works as Project Manager on projects assigned to ensure all deliverables and deadlines are met within budget and quality.
    • Works as a team member on projects assigned along with the assigned to Project Manager of the respective project to ensure all deliverables and deadlines are met within budget and quality.
    • Seeks approvals from ACD on all work before delivery to Account or Client.
    • Participate in brainstorming for the core idea/ideation that meets client’s brand objective.
    • Assists in developing presentation materials for existing projects and business development needs.
    • Assists ACD/AD in presenting work to client.
    • Collaborates with other creative staff to share learning and experience and to establish initiatives that will improve IA’s creative product.
    • Partners with all vertical counterparts to enhance quality, productivity, and profitability of the group’s work.
    • Inculcates and promote IA values in every thought and action which will contribute to overall office morale, spirit, character and work quality.
    • Have a passion to create and motivate team to develop international award winning work

    Skills

    • Staying abreast of the latest trends in UX, visual design and social media fads is important for the Group Head.
    • To best serve their design department they must continually research new trends, strategies and the creative use of new technology in online advertising practices as well as interaction designs.
    • They must also be aware of what competitors are doing in order to create innovative and new designs and concepts.
    • Understanding and implementing Behaviour Psychology into design projects
    • Should have strong research capabilities and applying it to presentation and designs
    • Interpreting data and analytics to come up with a design solution
    • Excellent presentation skills
    • Lead in implementing branding and positioning for the projects
    • Should have an excellent Knowledge of UX and design principles and implementation of the same in all design concepts
    • Implementing personalisation strategies in UX projects
    • Leading projects in customer experience designs
    • Supervise video creations with creative inputs
    • Well versed with providing creative solutions at different stages of funnel marketing
    • Expertise in providing innovative UI solutions
    • Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects/Flash, HTML/JS/CSS and Dreamweaver (or other html editing software). Familiarity with Power Point or Visio is also desirable.
    • Experience in outdoor activations would be an added advantage
    • Have design expertise across digital channel like websites, mobile apps, social media assets, emailers, paid banners, multimedia production, branding, SEO etc.

    Qualifications

    • B.A. in graphic design, Communication Arts, or equivalent
    • A Bachelor / Diploma Degree in Applied Arts / Fine Art
    • Must possess a minimum of 9 years of experience out of which 2 years should be in a role of an Associate Group Head/Senior art lead with a digital agency or web development firm.
    • Proven highly versatile design skills. Portfolio necessary – should have live projects included.
